A big thank you to everyone who has volunteered to assist the Sail Training and Sailing Week teams this year. Please could you make sure you complete the online declaration. This is a key part of our safeguarding policy and we have brought the form online in an effort to reduce paper usage. The July and August coaching sessions are now available to book. These sessions are on a first come first served basis, so if you are interested, please do sign up as soon as possible https://www.bssc.net/booking/type/training. There will be a waiting list when each session becomes full so if you can no longer attend, please let us know so that another member can take your place. We'd like to remind all members that kayaks and SUPs must NOT be stored on the bank between the NT chain and the dinghy park. It is important that vegetation is able to grow there to stabilise the bank and continue to provide essential protection to the 200+ boats parked in the north dingy park. There are a few spaces available in the club kayak rack, please contact us if you would like to book a space. If you have a kayak or SUP stored on the bank, please remove it as soon as possible. The front door is fixed and you should have received an email with the new code. For security, please DO NOT share this code with non members and please don't leave the door open when there are no staff on site. We do apologise for the delay with this and thank you all for your patience. There are quite a few slots that need filling on the duty roster for next weekend. It's not such an early start :) Please login to the Members Hub and click on the blue "Volunteer" button if you can help with any of these. Volunteers should meet by the front door one hour before the race start. We have noticed some errors in the start time displayed for FRB crew and believe that these are now all correct. Feel free to contact Alex by phone 07747 597902 or the_clubhouse@bssc.net if you are unsure about your start time or have any questions at all about signing up for on the water volunteer duties. We're very excited to be welcoming our new head chef, Brian and sous chef Joe, to the clubhouse team next weekend. We will be serving food again from Friday evening. We expect demand to be high so strongly advise that members book a table in advance. As always, we will do our very best to accommodate walk-ins but we cannot make any guarantees. A menu for the weekend is shown below and will now be sent to you every Thursday. | ||
