We've had beautiful sunshine all weekend and, fingers crossed, it's set to stay for a whlie.

Many congratulations to all our members who took part in (and all those who provided support for) Norfolk Super Heros 2025. If you look down the results lists you'll see a lot of familiar names. Special mentions to Charlie Tyler and Honor De Winton for winning the Dame Edna Trophy for fastest mixed team, Emily and Rafe Lohore for winning the Wensum plate and William Barret and Robert Gurney who are this years' Zimmer Winners!

Meanwhlie at Brancaster Staithe the Cory Wright Cup was taking place in light winds. Congratulations, Ed Medcalf and Pip Weston. On Sunday the Summer points for all-comers and Hawk Summer series continued. The BSSC cruiser fleet also had a fantastic weekend, sailing to Blakeney with a stop over in Wells Next the sea. They returned with new friends for lunch on Sunday. All results from weekend racing are available to view on the website and there are more photos of the action from the water on our Instagram page.

Next weekend we have the Single hander, 2000 and asymmetric weekend. This is an open event and particpants are invited to sign up online for the racing and dinner. We're hoping for a great turnout from 2000s as this weekend will form part of the class association latiude series. If you are a 2000 owner and would like to join the class association, membership is free for the 1st year. https://www.2000class.org/about/membershipsIf you have any issue with the online booking, please feel free to email members@bssc.net

If you won a trophy at sailing week 2024, now would be a great time to get it engraved, ready for return to the clubhouse at the beginning of August. If there is any damage to your trophy, we would be very gratefull if you could also arrange a repair or return the tropy as soon as possible so that we can organise a repair in time for prize giiving. There are quite a few gaps in the Duty Roster this month. If you can help out on any of the safety boats, please do sign up on the member's hub. You don't need any experience at all to crew the safety boats and it's a great way to view the action on the water. All safety volunteers are offered a complimentary breakfast bap and hot drink after early morning races.
