Improve Your Racing

Recommended age of 12+

**You may apply to do either Start Racing OR Improve Your Racing but not both**

Course Duration: 3 days (Thursday to Saturday inclusive)

Have you done the 'Start Racing' course in a previous year, gained further independent sailing experience and competed in at least one Brancaster Week in a topper? Then come and join us for a fun 3 days coached regatta to improve your racing skills.

You must provide your own topper. Boat checks will be conducted before the course begins. You will not be allowed to sail if your topper is not in satisfactory condition (please refer to the topper preparation guide on the course information page).

You need to be able to sail independently out to the starting area near Cockle Mark. Please note you will be required to sail out and back to the race course each day from the hard. Participants must also be confident in righting their own boat from a capsize in whatever conditions we are sailing in, although, as in all club racing, support will be provided if and when needed, but we do need you to be confident in your general boat handling, so that we can get some exciting racing.

You will get lots of racing practice, coaching and rules advice, and there will be plenty of prizes for different categories.

NB This is a non RYA course, there will be no RYA certificate awarded at the end of the course.
