Swallows and Amazons

Swallows and Amazons is our family sailing fleet at BSSC. We meet every week from May through to mid-July. Our aim is to enjoy the beaches and creeks at Brancaster and Burnham Overy, to meet likeminded, water loving, mud sliding, sandcastle building families in the local area.

All we ask is that adults accompany their children and supervise their children. You will need to wear a buoyancy aid and full-length wetsuit with a waterproof jacket and sailing boots to ensue you keep warm. A pic-nic, bobble hat and warm towel is highly recommended. We will provide safety cover, enthusiasm and local knowledge. There are always plenty of young people and adults who know how to sail on hand to go out sailing with.

Check the list of activities to find out when the Club is running their official RYA training schemes. This is when adults and children can obtain official sailing certificates.
