Cruisers
Fleet Captain - Phill Smith
We have a diverse fleet of small cruising boats based at Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club but they all share the ability to take the ground in our beautiful drying harbour. By far the most common type of craft are lift keel boats from Parker and Seal, along with a number of little gaffers that seem to go so well when the wind pipes up. Many of our crews enjoy day sails from the harbour, possibly visiting one of several local harbours for an overnight stop. Some of our more intrepid crews venture farther afield cruising the east coast rivers, Thames estuary and the North Sea coasts of Europe.
Over the winter we have monthly social meetings, enjoying a Sunday Lunch in the clubhouse, usually on the last Sunday of the month. Contact the Fleet Captain or the clubhouse for details.
We have an annual best cruising log competition and a selection of these can be seen below. Phill also keeps up a blog page for his trips, click here to read about Famingo's Adventures
