In total, 123 boats took part this year, under the watchful eyes of race officers Ben Stocks (at sea), John Bellamy and Ed Harley (in the harbour). Those who volunteered their time (and boats) for safety cover are too numerous to list here. The stoic efforts of the team on Gusto at sea and the ladies in the start hut, plus numerous hard marshalls are hugely appreciated, we couldn't do any of this without you. Of course the biggest thanks must go to James and Caroline Watson plus Arthur, Roland and Ginny, who have worked so hard in the run up and during the week to coordinate all the participants and volunteers. Photos taken at sea and in the harbour on Wednesday 9th are available to download from a dropbox folder, just click here. Photos & videos of the social events are on our Facebook page The social events throughout the week were very well attended. Graves put on a fantastic Hog Roast on Tuesday. Dirk and Ian provided an outstanding BBQ on Thursday with DJ Paul resurrecting the Junior disco for us. The highlight of the week was always going to be the big summer party - another fine buffet from Dirk & Ian followed by The Nod playing two sets in the marquee. The event was sold out in advance and the atmosphere on the night was electric. Enormous thanks to Tim, Foxy and the whole band for making this a night to remember. We still have our lovely team of instructors available for the rest of August, therefore social sailing and sailing lessons are available to book for most days please see the online booking page for availability. There will be a drinks party to celebrate the end of the Summer season on Sunday August 27th. Tickets for this include drinks at the bar from 18:30 until 21:30 and are also available to book online. If you have a trophy from 2022, please return it to the clubhouse soon so that we can have everything ready for prize giving. On Wednesday we will be showing the FIFA Women's World Cup semi final between England and Australia at 11am and on Sunday we will show the final (also at 11am). There will be Junior racing this Thursday and Friday plus the Roger Atkins round the island on Saturday followed by breakfast in the clubhouse. The Jamieson Cup, junior racing, Cockle racing and social sailing on Sunday will also be followed with a clubhouse breakfast. We are open EVERYDAY until the end of August: Below is our new August menu, there will also be specials on the blackboard changing regularly plus sweet and savoury bar snacks available all day, please do ask staff what is available. If you have any questions regarding special dietary requirements please ask us when ordering your food.
