Time to think about wrapping up

The weather has cheered up a good bit since I took this photo yesterday, we're now enjoying warm sunshine!
We've had a full weekend of racing at BSSC, the Hawk Autumn series was won by John and Gilly Ellison and the all-comers Autumn points will be decided next saturday. Meanwhile the British Sharpie Championships were taking place at Wells Sailing Club, there are some lovely photos on the Wells facebook page. Well done to everyone who is still sailing as the weather is definitely starting to cool. Next weekend there will be racing on Saturday afternoon but not on Sunday, as there will not be sufficient light.
Many of you have already taken your boats home, now is a good time to start thinking about this (especially if you have more than one boat to move). All boats should be removed from the dinghy park by October 31st.
Please also take a moment to check your kit, are you missing anything? We have 2 overflowing lost property boxes in the clubhouse and any items not claimed by 1st November will be disposed of.
There is ONE space remaining to be filled on the duty roster! If anyone would would like to crew Musketeer on the very last day of our sailing season (Sunday 26th October) that would be brilliant.
There will be a weekend of Wayfarer social sailing on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October. This is organised by Matt Sharman of the UKWA (UK Wayfarer Association) but members of BSSC who are not members of UKWA are welcome to join both the sailing and a dinner on Saturday evening.Related
- UKWA social sail (exact times TBC) (11 October, 08:00 - 10:00)
- Oktoberfest Laying Up Party (25 October, 17:00 - 22:00)
