Volunteering at BSSC

The days are starting to get a little longer and the 1st bulbs are starting to make an appearance here in Brancaster Staithe. Here are some dates for your diary that don't appear in the handbook!

The next Yoga session in the clubhouse with Rachel will be Saturday 7th February at 9am. There will be a poll on the WoW what's app group next week, so please let us know if you can make it.

Applications for sail training will open online on 1st March. More information about sail training is available here. This web page will continue to be updated as new information becomes available.

Race officers and assistant race officers are being allocated to the Duty Roster. If you are unable to fulfil your duty, please request a swap via the link in your confirmation email. Of course, the race officers can't run any racing without assistance from safety boat drivers and crews. To sign up, please use the online duty roster and click any of the blue "volunteer" buttons. If you are new to crewing for a safety boat, very little skill is needed. Just bring enthusiasm, a buoyancy aid and warm, waterproof clothing! If you would like to develop your skills as a safety boat driver, please do get in touch by email.

Occasionally changes to the sailing programme are unavoidable, please check the online calendar, this is the most up to date information that we have. If you use Apple devices, there is now a convenient way to load the BSSC programme to your iCalendar!

You will need to login to see the "subscribe" button on the right. I recommend using the filters at the top (so that you see the events that are most important to you). Then press "subscribe" and confirm the steps on your device. Any future updates, additions or amendments made to the online calendar should sync to your device automatically.

Many thanks to all our members who have completed their renewal for 2026. We will be sending out targeted reminders by email. If you receive a notification but believe you have renewed, please reply to that email so that we can clarify the situation.
