Whilst it has been extremely windy here with a fair amount of rain on Saturday, North Norfolk appears to have survived storm Amy without sustaining too much damage. The forecast for next weekend is looking very promising for racing on Saturday and Sunday. With the end of the sailing season approaching, we are keen to remind all our members that there is a variety of social events coming up, we hope you find something that you'd like to come along to.
On Saturday 25th October we have a full day lined up: There will be racing at 08:30 for all-comers and Hawks, followed by breakfast at 09:30.
The AGM will take place at 11:00 followed by prizegiving at 12:30
From 5pm everyone is invited to celebrate Bavarian style! There is no need to book if you wish to come for drinks only. We are very excited about Brian's traditional German buffet, tickets for this are available online and those members who have booked food will have a table reserved for them.
There will be some fun games and prizes for the best dirndl and lederhosen!
On 8th November Brig (Ret'd) David Wakefield OBE will be at BSSC with his "End of the war in the Pacific" presentation. We will start the evening with gin and vodka tasting from Brancaster drinks at 18:30. The talk will start at 19:00, members are encouraged to wear their poppies and to bring along WWII memorabilia. We will be serving a supper of beef bourguignon or wild mushroom and chestnut stew from 20:00 which can be booked by email. There is no need to book if you wish to come along for the presentation without food and we hope attendees will give generously to David's chosen charities; Royal British Legion and Always a Rifleman
Tickets are now on sale for our New Year's Eve Party!
Members are welcome to bring friends and family along to this event (please sign your guests into the book on arrival). The ticket price includes food and a DJ, we hope the party will be as memorable as 2024!
