Amazing Fundraising

Although the nights are drawing in fast now, it's still very mild and dry here. We are very happy to see that almost all boats, kayaks and SUPs have been collected. If you have not yet removed your property from the dinghy park, please do so as a matter of urgency.
This past week has seen BSSC help to raise almost £3000 for three different charities!
On Tuesday 4th November, Liz How hosted a bridge tournament, raising £2,458 for Tapping House Hospice. It was a real team effort with volunteer bakers, sandwich makers, tea servers, raffle prize donors and ticket sellers. The team topped last year's total but I've no doubt, they'll be trying to beat it in 2026.
On Saturday 8th November, David Wakefield's VJ Day presentation was a sell out! The talk was superb and attendees dug deep into their pockets to raise £165 for the Royal British Legion and £345 for the Always a Rifleman Programme.
We invite everyone to come along to winter yoga sessions with Rachel Blunt. We hope to offer one session per month and all ages and levels are welcome to come along. The 1st session will be next Saturday 15th November at 9am. Rachel has very generously offered to teach these sessions free of charge and asks attendees to make a donation to charity. The charities will change each week and normally we will be able to accept donations by credit card. For this first session we want to see your boat pose for the RNLI (cash only as there won't be any staff available to take credit cards). Following yoga sessions will be held on December 6th, January 17th and February 7th.
Keith and I will be off on holiday from tomorrow (Tuesday 11th November) The clubhouse will remain open for Sunday lunches. Just email the_clubhouse@bssc.net to make a booking. All other enquiries will be answered after 1st DecemberRelated
