The sun is shining again :)

After what felt like days of pouring rain, the sun finally came out on Friday and we've had some glorious sunshine. We found ourselves on the receiving end of strong wind and rain overnight, which was a shame because if you look closely at this week's photo, you can just see that the dinghy park fence has been repaired and Ronsealed (other brands are available). The exterior work continues on another day...

We have now begun to upload dates for RYA PB2 Powerboat courses to the online calendar. These courses are available to book online to members, before spaces are opened up to the public. If anyone is interested in the RYA Safety Boat course, please email and let us know.

Friday 1st March is a date for many diaries:

1. It's Saint David's Day! So don't forget to wear your daffodil with pride if you hale from the opposite side of the UK.
2. You may bring boats back to the dinghy park. Please make sure you park in the correct place and beware of forecasts for high winds early in the season. There are also high tides due from 10th to 14th March, so it might be wise to hold off for a few more weeks.
3. Sail Training applications will go live on our website. You will need to login and book a place (one course per child only please) and register for volunteering during sail training week which begins on Sunday 21st July this year. Please choose your child's course carefully before booking. You will receive notification of successful applications with an invoice in April.
4. Instructors wishing to work during sail training will also need to apply though the members hub so will need to email the_clubhouse@bssc.net to obtain a login.

We are away from 6th March so there's a lot going on next weekend and then we will be closed for 2 weeks. We will be unable to respond to emails until Thursday 21st March. The clubhouse will not be open for Sunday lunch on 10th and 17th March. We will open again on Sunday 24th. Please email if you'd like to join us for Sunday lunch on 3rd or 24th.

A general committee meeting has been scheduled while we are away, so if you prefer not to be mentioned at this meeting due to late renewal and/or payment of membership. It is strongly recommended that you turn your attention to the members hub https://www.bssc.net/login and renew as soon as possible.
