Calm (ish) after storm Isha

Another week, another change in the weather. The freezing cold has left us (for now at least). Last night we were battered by the high winds of storm Isha. Today, it's 11 degrees and sunny.

Almost half of our members have now completed their renewals and many of you have been enquiring about the waiting list for dinghy spaces. Here is what we're doing to make sure everyone gets the spaces they need as quickly as possible:

  1. We plan to rearrange the dinghy park over the coming weeks. The existing plan has served us well for years, but no longer reflects the boats that are now sailed most regularly at Brancaster Staithe.
  2. We hope that this will allow more spaces to be allocated to members on the waiting list.
  3. All new allocations will be billed separately and we aim to have this done by Easter weekend.

We need everyone to assist us in this effort, here is what you can do to help:

  1. If you no longer use a space (even for 1 year) or if you change your boat, please return your space to be allocated to the next member waiting (spaces are not transferable). You can do this by declining to renew the space when you renew your membership. Or you can contact us by email.
  2. Plan ahead! Let us know as soon as possible if you are planning to change boats. Members who put their names on the waiting list last summer are more like to get spaces this year.
  3. Please be sure that you are parked in the correct place - we are very happy to assist. Also note that failure to remove your craft at the end of October or not displaying the correct sticker, may result in your space being allocated to a member on the waiting list.

If you have any questions about dinghy parking or your renewal, please do contact us by email or phone (07747 597902).

Unfortunately, we did not reach the minimum number of bookings for the Murder Mystery evening. We have taken the decision to postpone this event and a new date will be confirmed soon.

Here are our opening times until the end of February:

Next Sunday 28th, is looking quite busy, so please book your table by email to avoid disappointment.

Sunday 4th 11:30 until 15:30 lunch service from 12:00 until 14:45
Sunday 11th 11:30 until 15:30 lunch service from 12:00 until 14:45
Sunday 18th 11:30 until 15:30 lunch service from 12:00 until 14:45
Sunday 25th 11:30 until 15:30 lunch service from 12:00 until 14:45
