Count down to the 1st sailing event of 2024

Yesterday morning an exceptional team assembled in the pouring rain to rebuild the sea defence at the north end of the dingy park. A huge thanks to Bill, Bruce, Stephen, Annalisa, Brian, Fi, the Wakefield family, you are all volunteer heroes, for turning up and working so hard in such hideous weather. Not only that, more volunteers met this morning to continue painting the fence. If you had thoughts of doing likewise at home, supplies of Ronseal across the county may be low (other brands are available).

It is now less than 2 weeks until our first sailing event of 2024! The UK Wayfarer Association are coming for a weekend of social sailing on 2nd and 3rd March. They plan to sail on Saturday and Sunday morning tides, we will be providing breakfast in the clubhouse on both days and there is also a dinner on Saturday night. If you are a Wayfarer owner / sailor, you are welcome to join (even if you are not a member of UKWA).

Keith and Alex are taking a short break before the season really gets underway. This means that the clubhouse will not be open for Sunday lunch on 10th and 17th March. We will be open again on Sunday 24th.
