The local Sharpie sailors met on Saturday with very still, grey conditions. Many thanks to Race Officer Paddy Spink for this beautiful photo. The wind did pick up on Sunday morning and the fleet completed four races over two days. Congratulations to Will Ellison and Tom Godwin for winning the Las Dye trophy!

Next weekend's racing will be for the Victory half hull on afternoon tides. The clubhouse will remain open on Sunday afternoon for drinks after the race.

The members survey is open online for ALL members until Thursday. Please forward this email to your associates, we especially want to know what our younger members think. All responses are anonymous, confidential and your email address is not collected.

Well done everyone who has signed up for the final duties of the sailing season. Most duties are now filled!! We do still need crew, helm and race officer next weekend. Please use this link https://www.bssc.net/roster to take a look and sign up for a duty one weekend.

The final powerboat courses for 2024 are available to book online. There are spaces available on 21st/22nd September, 5th/6th October, 23rd/24h October and 25th/26th October.

AGM, Laying up Lunch and Prize Giving: Please note that the date for the AGM is Saturday 2nd November as published on the website calendar. This needed to be changed after the handbook was printed. The Laying up Lunch and Prize Giving remain on the originally published date - Saturday 26th October. We are happy to take bookings for the laying up lunch by email from now. The menu for this event will be available soon.

Next weekend is the annual Brancaster Staithe Sea Shanty Festival. Charity raffle tickets are available at the bar and more information regarding performance times, venues and the charities supported is available on this website.

Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions are posted on the website for the "mini regatta" on 21st and 22nd September. Entry is free to all participants and we hope to attract sailors from other sailing clubs. Please sign up online if you'd like to join in.

Our menu for the weekend will now be published on a Thursday along with information for the weekend's on water duties, so please do look out for this coming to your inbox. We still advise booking your table in advance by email whenever possible.

Friday: Open 17:00 to 22:00. Dinner from 18:00-21:00

Saturday: Open 11:30 to 22:00, Lunch from 12:00-15:00, Dinner from 18:00-21:00

Sunday: Open 11:30 to 19:00, Lunch from 12:00-15:00
