Stunning weather is forecast to continue!

Finally, beautiful weather! We had a chilly (and rather early) start to the British Sharpie Championships on Friday morning. Thirteen Sharpies competed in six races held over 3 days, with breezy conditions making for challenging and exciting races, results are on the website, congratulations to Chris & Maddy Gibbs, Will Ellison & Kiki Pattendon, Sam Neal & Bob Bradshaw and Will Gibbs and Charlie Orton. We had a wonderful BBQ lunch in the glorious sunshine on Saturday and more stunning weather on Sunday for drinks on the balcony after sailing.

Swallows and Amazons had lots of muddy fun at Burnham Overy Staithe last Thursday evening. This week they will be meeting at Brancaster Staithe for a sailing session (HW 17:16). Children of all ages are welcome, if you'd like to join in please contact Rosie Newport. Following on from a very successful session last month, Malcolm will be running another race officer training session on Saturday 15th July at 14:00 in the clubhouse. There will also be the opportunity to see how it's done on the evening race with Sarah Kemp as officer of the day.

Next weekend races are scheduled for Hawks and cruisers on Saturday. There are no races scheduled for Sunday and we are very happy to say that we have enough safety cover for this weekend but there are some volunteer slots to fill the following weekend. As the weather warms up and the club gets busier we want to draw your attention to Clubhouse opening hours. We aim to be open for longer this year, indeed every day through late July and August, but this means that we have to be disciplined in our staff shift patterns. Clubhouse opening times do vary a little to provide the best service for members coming off the water but the kitchen needs to open at meal times. We always advertise our opening hours and the hours that the kitchen will be open in this newsletter and the information is copied to the home page of the website. We know how frustrating it can be to come off the water and find the kitchen has just closed so do please remember to check in advance.

Opening times from Thursday 15th June to Sunday 18th June:
Thursday 15:00 until 22:00 dinner service from 18:00 until 21:00. (HW17:16). All members welcome!
Friday private event until 20:00. Open for drinks & bar snacks only 20:00 until 22:00, no dinner service (HW18:07)
Saturday 11:30 until 22:00, lunch service from 12:00 until 15:00 and dinner service 18:00 until 21:00. (HW18:55)
Sunday 11:00 until 16:00, lunch service from 12:00 until 15:00. (HW19:39)

Below is our June menu. There will also be sweet and savoury bar snacks available all day, these cannot always be kept on the bar due to food safety regulations so please do ask staff what is available. If you have any questions regarding special dietary requirements please ask us when ordering your food.

We recommend reserving a table in advance by email especially for large groups. Tables of 8 or more people should email a pre order from the menus below.
