Unfortunately, due to a sudden and unexpected thunderstorm, the final Women on the Water session didn't get away from the hard yesterday. But everyone stayed safe, got wet and ate cake so it felt very authentic! The Frocks and Flip-flops Summer drinks party was a huge success, with dancing well into the night. Despite very light winds this afternoon, autumn points series started for handicap fleet and August points concluded for the Hawk fleet, what difference a day makes! Next weekend is the Idler Bowl series, Cockle Champagne breakfast and the start of the Autumn points for Hawks. If you have any silverware from 2022, please return it to the clubhouse so that it can be engraved ready for prize giving. We are really keen to hear from anyone who can assist with any form of safety craft or boats capable of transporting 1 or 2 parents at a time to observe the action over the 23rd and 24th September Topper weekend. Key criteria will be ability to operate on a 7.0m tide. There will be 20-25 good standard juniors travelling from The Broads, Grafham Water, Snettisham Beach and the Suffolk coast, so there should be a great atmosphere in the club all weekend. If you are able to assist, please contact Ed Medcalf directly by email. We are open EVERYDAY until Sunday then we will begin Autumn opening times (Friday evening, Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch, with breakfasts added for the early tides): Below is our August menu, (we will update the menu next week) there will also be specials on the blackboard plus sweet and savoury bar snacks available from 4pm each day, please do ask staff what is available. If you have any questions regarding special dietary requirements please ask us when ordering your food. We expect to be extremely busy this August, so please book your table by email and arrive on time. A pre order will be needed for tables of more than 6 people. We do hope to see you all soon. | ||
