Races are likely to start promptly please allow plenty of time to sail to the race area.
Camping
- The campsite is open from 5th August and closes on 17th. It is located very near to the sailing club, just a short walk along the coastal path.
- Access is from the A149, just West of the sailing club behind the layby with an AA box. There will be sharpie signs indicating the entrance.
- Facilities include toilets and showers, a marquee and tables plus fridge and freezer.
- There will also be car parking and trailer parking on site. These areas will be clearly marked.
- Please be respectful, it is a private site kindly loaned exclusively to us for the event.
- Registration for camp site users will be taken on Saturday (see below).
Arrival & Registration
On arrival at the club you will be welcomed by a volunteer who will direct you to your boat parking spot. Please:
- Unpack your boat and attach your boat tag to your launching trolley.
- Park your road trailer in the designated area on the campsite
Registration will take place on Saturday 9th August from 9:00am at the sailing club. This will include:
- Collection of race packs, sailing instructions and pre-ordered merchandise (Please see below on how to order)
- Payment of unpaid entry fees
- Additional dining ticket purchases
- Registration for camp site users
Social & Dining Itinerary
We've got a packed social programme for sailors, friends and families:
- Sunday 10th (4pm6pm): Championship Reception at the marquee (BSSC)
Optional evening meals can be booked directly with the club - Monday 11th: Family BBQ Sailors and kids eat free
- Tuesday 12th: Dutch Night
- Wednesday 13th: British Night Sailors and family eat free
- Thursday 14th: Free evening (no organised dinner)
- Friday 15th: Prizegiving, evening meal & disco Sailors and kids eat free
Daily event timings will be shared each evening for the following day.
Reminders
- Ensure you've submitted your entry form via the British Sharpie Owners Association. Further copy attached in case you need it.
- The entrance fee is £200. Thanks to those who have already paid. If you want to pay in advance the bank details are shown on the attached Notice of Race. Otherwise please be ready to pay at registration.
- Bring your proof of insurance
- Be ready for early starts and varied conditions (predicted mostly hot & sunny with steady F3 wind)
