If you keep a tender on the chain, you will be interested to read about the changes that the National Trust have announced for the management of the Hard. These arrangements, which have been agreed between the National Trust and the Brancaster Parish Council who between them have responsibility for the Hard, are summarised here: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/norfolk/brancaster-estate/changes-at-brancaster-harbour. If you have any questions or comments about this new system, please speak to the harbour master. We are now open every day from 11:30 until 22:00 (with breakfast after early races) so as we get busier, we highly recommend booking ahead by email if you wish to eat, especially when the tide falls near to a meal time. All tables will be reserved inside, so if you wish to eat on the balcony, you should arrive early. Your assistance to relocate your cutlery and water glasses will be much appreciated. If you are making a booking for more than 6 people, please circulate the menu below to any guests and provide us with a pre order for starters and main courses. Our aim is always to feed as many members as possible and all these things really help us to achieve that goal. Boat parking stickers are available to collect any time that we're open. Please make sure you display a sticker and park in the correct place. You can check your parking place on the members hub in the "My Boats" section and there is a map on the notice board by the door. We will be checking the dinghy park before sail training (and moving boats that are parked in the wrong place) to ensure that all members are able to use the space(s) that they have paid for. It is a condition of using club boats, that they are put away in the correct place. Club Toppers must have their masts unstepped and the boats should be put back under the rack. Swallows and Amazons returned to Brancaster Staithe last Thursday evening. This week they will meet at 16:00 at Hunstanton Sailing Club. Also, coming up this week, we will be hosting an open meeting for Tideways on Tuesday 11th July. They will be going out for a social sail and meeting back at the clubhouse at around 15:30, with a fleet dinner at 19:30. Throughout the week we will be showing live coverage from Wimbledon. We'd be delighted if you can join us for the finals (ladies on Saturday and mens on Sunday times TBC) when we will be serving strawberries and cream, Prosecco by the glass and Pimms. On Saturday 15th July, Malcolm Collins will be conducting an informal training session (starting at 14:00) for anyone wishing to know more about the role of Race Officer. There are races planned for Cockles, Hawks and dinghies plus a session for Women on the Water and novice racers - briefing at 16:00. On Sunday there are races scheduled for dinghies & Hawks. We are open EVERYDAY!! until the end of August: Below is our new July menu. There will also be sweet and savoury bar snacks available all day, these cannot always be kept on the bar due to food safety regulations so please do ask staff what is available. If you have any questions regarding special dietary requirements please ask us when ordering your food. We do hope to see you all soon. | ||
