Summer Sun is here :)

It really has (finally) felt like summer this week. After such miserable weather for so long, it feels as though a weight has lifted and everyone is celebrating at BSSC. We've had a wonderful week of sail training, congratulations to all participants, instructors, organisers and volunteers.

There are still spaces available for summer coaching taking place on 31st July, 1st August, 2nd August, 14th August, 15th August and 16th August. These can be booked via the website and are free to members.

We are sorry, if you have experienced problems with the ticketing system for Sailing Week, we have notified the software supplier. The 5 day entry is working correctly but there may be an issue with some 1 day entry tickets. All tickets for 5 day AND 1 day entry ARE still available, we hope that bookings will be back online later today. If you have any difficulties, do not hesitate to contact Alex either by email or call 07747 597902.

Entries will remain open until midday on Sunday 4th August. After this time you will only be able to purchase the late entry ticket (which is more expensive). Tickets for the Hog Roast will be available online until midday on Wednesday 31st July. After this time, tickets are available at the bar until they sell out. You should collect your physical ticket before the Hog Roast begins on Wednesday 7th.

Tickets are also available for the Big Party Night with live music on 10th August. If you would like to join the "Burger Bonanza" (beef, chicken and vegetarian options are available) please buy your ticket online by midday on Thursday 8th August. Tickets without food will be available to buy until 17:00 on 10th August. This event will operate on a wrist band system. Wristbands can be collected from 18:00 on the night. Members in the marquee without a wristband will be asked to move to a different area of the club.

Just when you thought the weather could only be improved with a little more wind, the same issues were encountered at yesterday's Olympic sailing events in Marseille. With wind surfing and 49er heats delayed due to lack of wind. We will be showing live coverage of olympic sailing whenever we are open. The schedule is available to view online.

Online bookings are also now open for the Laser 3000 Nationals at BSSC on 21st and 22nd August. This is an open event so noon members are welcome to book, please email us to obtain a login.

Please find our menu for this week below. We advise members email to book a table inside, tables outside are available on a strictly first come first served basis. We will always do our best to accommodate walk-ins but recommend that members book ahead wherever possible to avoid disappointment.
