Summer is here!

It's been extremely warm and quite humid over the past week and lots of you have been out on the water making the most of the fantastic weather. We've seen a lot of social sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding during the week. All races went ahead this weekend, in light winds with a challenging shift in wind direction, mid-race on Sunday, results are on the website. Lots of you joined us for the first England match against Argentina in the Rugby World Cup on Saturday night, creating a great atmosphere. Apologies if you came to lunch yesterday and found a slightly limited menu, we hope to have full power back in the kitchen next weekend for the Les Dye, Trophy for Sharpies and Brancaster Staithe Sea Shanty Festival.

Thank you to everyone who has answered the call to fill volunteer slots in the coming weeks. There are still some duties that need to be covered towards the end of September and a couple in October. Just login to the members hub and click on the blue "volunteer" buttons in the Duty Rostersection.

There is a change in the racing calendar for Autumn points. Due to the small tides and Eastern Region Topper series, we will be holding club races on Saturday 23rd but NOT Sunday 24th September. If anyone is still interested in volunteering for the Topper weekend. Please get in touch with Ed Medcalf by email.

Future dates for your diaries: Don't forget to reserve the date for the Laying Up Supper, prize giving and AGM on Saturday 28th October. We will be celebrating the end of a wonderful sailing season with a delicious seasonal dinner. We also remind you that BSSC will be hosting a party on New Year's Eve. This should be another epic sailing club party with music and dancing to open 2024 with a bang! We do hope you can join us.

We have now begun Autumn opening times (Friday evening, Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch, with breakfasts added for the early tides):
Friday 17:30 until 22:00 dinner service from 18:00 until 21:00. (HW 07:30 & 19:58)
Saturday 08:30 until 22:00 breakfast from 08:30 until 10:00, lunch service from 12:00 until 15:00 & dinner service from 18:00 until 21:00. (RS 07:00, HW 07:59)
Sunday 09:00 until 17:00 breakfast 09:00 until 10:30, lunch service from 12:00 until 15:00. (RS 07:30, HW 08:29)

Below is our September menu, there will also be specials on the blackboard, please do ask staff what is available. If you have any questions regarding special dietary requirements please ask us when ordering your food.

We recommend you book your table by email and arrive on time. A pre order is needed for tables of more than 6 people.
