Sailing

Come sailing!

BSSC is an active sailing Club on the North Norfolk Coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are an RYA certified training Club with a busy racing schedule, with events held in a drying harbour organised 2-3 hours either side of high tide. Marquee events include a sail training week (for 120+ Juniors/youths) in late July and a regatta week (over 130 competitors) in August.

Alongside racing we organise a full schedule of social sailing, training and development. Our busiest months are July and August and we run events every day for the six main summer holiday weeks. A few times a year we have the famous 'Round the Island' race which takes you around Scolt Head and past Burnham Overy Staithe. You can find more details of the fleets, social sailing and training under this section. There should be a name in each section for you to reach out to learn more.

Of course our stunning sailing area is also fantastic for just pottering about, or sailing to the beach or Scolt Head Island.

We have a thriving Junior fleet including an annual Junior Sail Training Week, and every August hold Sailing Week where 100+ boats are always on the water!

Come and join us! We are recruiting a Sailing Activities Manager.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to support members in getting the most of their summer sailing and boating. You will be the go-to person for on-the-water activities whose purpose is to facilitate, encourage and assist members around the boat park and when sailing. You will report directly to the Club's Vice Commodore and be part of a team of staff that run the Club including a Members Services Manager, Bar and Catering Manager and Chef.
