The Laser 3000 Nationals are back and if you thought last year's capsize count was impressive, let's see what the North Norfolk weather has got in store for us this time! For 2025 we're back at Brancaster Staithe, one of the most stunning coastal venues on the circuit, where sea breezes, epic tides and highly variable depths await to crush your foils. The clubhouse facilities are spectacular (hot showers, balcony for sundowners, delicious food and a well-stocked bar), and we can squeeze in a couple of campervans on-site in the members' car park for those who like their regattas with a side of Norfolk's big starry skies.
Whether you're chasing podium glory or just trying to stay upright and vaguely pointed towards the windward mark, it's time to dust off that 90s trapeze harness and join the fun. The race course features long, thrilling reaches. Expect lively chat and banter. The entry fee is great value for the entertainment on offer: £15 for Under 18s, £20 for over 18s, per boat.
Current plan is for two races per evening and an informal fleet supper on the first night. The tides are shallow so we shall have to move quickly! Briefing and sign on 5pm Thursday 7 August. And we have ACTUAL silverware to award for the 1st V3000, the 1st 3000 and the 1st U18 helm (either fleet). Any questions let me know jem.macfadyen@gmail.com
