Opening times October & November

Another weekend of very high and very early tides. It appears that rigging in the dark and drizzle isn't so popular, but it is worth the effort just to say that you have launched and recovered your dingy from the sailing club car park! Just don't park your car next to your launching trolly...

Well done Harry Spink for winning the Trafalgar trophy and John & Gilly Ellison for the Hawk last on the water victory. In the clubhouse the seafood feast on Friday night was fully booked and we received excellent feedback for Brian's delicious spread. Now that racing is finished for the season we encourage all members to remove their boats, kayaks & paddle boardsfrom the dinghy park. No craft can be left on club land after Thursday 31st October.

If you would like to attend the laying up lunch on Saturday 26th, we need to know by Wednesday evening (23rd October) please get in touch by email to book. Don't forget to include your food choices (available to view on the website) with your email.

The UK Wayfarer Association will be coming to BSSC for a social sail on Saturday 9th November. This sailing event commemorates the start of Ralph Feinnes trip to the South Pole on 9th November 1992. BSSC Wayfarer owners and sailors are welcome to contact Matt Sharman to join the sailing. There will also be a social supper in the clubhouse on Saturday evening.

Opening times: in response to requests for a weekend supper service, we will be trialling a Saturday night opening with a la carte menus (which will be published on Mondays). Please book your table by email if possible.
