As we get busier, we would like to remind members of a few key club rules. A full list of rules and policies can be found on the club website.
Swallows and Amazons enjoyed a fun evening on kayaks and SUPs on Thursday. This week will be the last term time meeting at Brancaster Staithe. Children of all ages are welcome to join in the sailing fun, if you'd like to come along please contact Rosie Newport.
This weekend, we have racing for asymmetric and single handed dinghies on Saturday and Sunday with breakfast in the clubhouse after. There are also novice racer sessions planned with briefings at 08:00 on Saturday and 09:15 on Sunday. Sail Training boat checks and briefings begin on Sunday from 12:00. Please check your emails from the sail training team carefully for exact times. The dingy park will be very full so it will help everyone if you can make sure your boat is parked in the right place and showing the correct sticker. The sail training BBQ is from 18:00 on Wednesday 26th. Tickets are £10 for children aged 12 and under and £14 for adults and children aged 13 and over. You can buy tickets on the website until Wednesday 19th. From Thursday 20th until Sunday 23rd tickets will be available to buy from the bar. We need to place the final order for food first thing on Monday morning so please make sure you have the tickets you need before the end of the weekend. You do not need to purchase tickets for participants on a sail training course or for Dinghy Instructors or Assistant Instructors teaching for the sail training team. If you purchase a ticket online, you will need to collect a physical ticket from the clubhouse. There will be burgers, sausages, a veggie option, fries, salads and ice creams. We will be setting up a temporary bar downstairs for soft drinks and cans of larger, ale and cider to help keep queues shorter in the clubhouse. If you'd like to help out with putting up gazebos, collecting tickets, serving food or drinks, collecting used glassware or rubbish, please contact Fiona Walker by email On Sunday 30th July at 15:00, we will be holding a 2nd hand kit sale. You will be able to donate clean, dry sailing gear (no broken things please) into a large box in the lobby. All funds raised will be donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance. We are open EVERYDAY until the end of August: Below is our new July menu, there will also be specials on the blackboard changing regularly plus sweet and savoury bar snacks available all day, please do ask staff what is available. If you have any questions regarding special dietary requirements please ask us when ordering your food. We do hope to see you all soon.
