not long now...

The longer evenings, louder bird songs and brighter hedgerows are a great reminder that our sailing season is just around the corner. I am aware (and in awe) that we have some hardy members who sail throughout the year, but for us mortals who hate having cold hands and feet, it's almost time to unpack the sailing gear. In 17 days time (Good Friday) we could be out on the water! We've seen a very strong response from members keen to get their names down for volunteering early. If you have not yet done so, please do give the online Duty Roster your attention. Very little knowledge or skill is needed to fill the crew positions in the safety boats, it's a fantastic way to meet other members and score a free breakfast after the early morning races. All you need to do is login, click this link: https://www.bssc.net/roster and then click any of the blue volunteering buttons. If you have any difficulties with the online duty roster (or any questions about the different duties) please do reach out to Alex either by email, phone, or in the clubhouse when we're open. A new volunteer duty will soon become available for any members with a current 1st aid certificate or other medical qualifications. Fiona Lambert will be heading up our team of on water 1st aiders as we aim to ensure that any races happening at sea are fully covered with a dedicated 1st aid volunteer. We will be sending out more information to anyone who has already uploaded 1st aid qualifications to their members hub profile and invite anyone who is keen to be added to a new What's App group to get in touch directly with Fi. | ||
