Whilst the sun was shining, the bitterly cold north wind continued to freeze us all this weekend. The chilly conditions are forecast to prevail for another week. Hopefully, the wind conditions will improve sufficiently to allow racing to resume next weekend for Hawks, Cockles and dinghy handicap.

The Cruiser fleet will meet for a social lunch on Sunday 28th, please let us know by email if you would like to attend. A pre order from the menu below would also be very helpful.

Applications will close for Sail Training volunteers and Instructors on 30th April. Please make your application online before this date. If you are under 18 years old, you will need to ask a parent to sign in and apply on your behalf. If you are over 18, please email Alex to get set up with your own login. Don't forget to download the pdf document: Starter_checklist.pdfplease complete this form (include your bank details) and return it to the_clubhouse@bssc.net. EVERY member who has already applied for ANY of these roles, will need to complete the self declaration form.

On Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd, Nick Williams is running a PB2 course. These courses fill up fast and there is one space available to book.

Applications will close tomorrow for our next race coaching event. This is planned for the Saturday 4th to Monday 6th. Please sign up on our booking page.

We will be having TWO Happy Hour promotions! On Saturday 4th 18:00-19:00 we will be offering M de Minuty rose at the discounted price of £17.50. On Sunday 5th 18:00-19:00 we will be launching "Volt" an American IPA from our local brewers, Woodfordes. Every pint of Volt purchased during happy hour will be eligible for 25% discount.

"Norfolk to Normandy" presented by Juliet Webster is a Brancaster, family, war time story for the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. Illustrated with photographs by Geoffrey Cory-Wright (1892-1969) & the war time watercolours by Julian Cory-Wright (1916-1944), this promises to be a fascinating insight into local history and its international impact. Saturday 8th June 2024, 6.30 7.30p.m. Brancaster Village Hall PE31 8AA. Admission is £10.00 per person and you can reserve a place by emailing richard.burrows@nci.org.uk The maximum seating capacity will be 60 people, so it is recommended to book you tickets early. The closing date for bookings will be 31 May 2024.

Opening times this weekend are as follows:

Friday 26th 17:00 until 22:00 dinner service from 18:00 until 20:45
Saturday 27th 11:30 until 22:00 breakfast 09:30, lunch service from 12:00 until 14:45 and dinner service from 18:00 until 20:45
Sunday 28th 11:30 until 15:30 breakfast 10:00, lunch service from 12:00 until 14:45
