BRANCASTER STAITHE SAILING WEEK 2018 20th - 24th August 2018

BRANCASTER STAITHE SAILING WEEK 2018
20th - 24th August 2018

Dear all,

SAILING WEEK is for many the highlight of the summer at Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club and we hope 2018 will be a huge success. We welcome entries from both club members and visitors. The format will be similar to last year with the seniors racing out at sea and the juniors racing in the harbour, starting at the Hut. Please see the notice of race and entry form on the Sailing Week page at www.bssc.net and enter as soon as possible. This will secure your place and is a huge help in the planning of the week. The website will be kept updated with the latest entry lists. The entry fees are the same as last year and payment should be made through BACS once you have entered. If you are not able to enter online, entry forms will be kept behind the bar and should be returned there once completed for our attention.
Racing will be conducted under the RRS 2017 - 2020 rules and we hope that, whilst we encourage competition, the ‘family’ spirit is maintained.

Sailing week is and has always has been a week of high energy levels, excitement and fun! It also provides an excellent friendly environment for our younger members to experience racing. Whilst some are aiming to win, others will be simply pleased to get round the course.

We hope that we do not have to limit entries, however this will depend on the numbers of safety boats we can put into the harbour and out at sea. We therefore would like to hear from any club members who would be willing to volunteer themselves as crew or provide their suitable rescue boats. We would also like to hear from others willing to help us with the running of the week, on and off the water. The generosity in the past of so many club members guarantees the smooth running of our fantastic regatta! Please do make contact…

TROPHIES
Please can any trophies from last year be returned to the clubhouse.

We look forward to seeing you at the briefing.
