BSSC CLUB PRIZE WINNERS 2018

All 2018 club prize winners.

Dear All,

I hope you are having a good sailing year and are trying to win a BSSC Trophy’s again this year.
Please could I ask that you now return your Trophies to Myself, Amelia or Sophie who are working behind the bar.  We need the Trophies returned before the end of the holidays to allow us time to get them ready for Prize Giving.

This year could I please ask that you return them polished and shiny. It would help take the pressure off preparing them for prize giving and alleviate my work load.

Regards,

Fi

Clubhouse Opening Summer 2019

Dear Members,

Please find below information regarding the extended opening hours for the Clubhouse Bar and Kitchen over the Summer Holiday period.

From Thursday 25th July until Sunday 1st September the bar will normally be be open from 12.00 noon onwards, closing generally at 10.30/11pm or earlier if demand dictates. Food will be available from 12.30 till 2.30/3pm and then again in the evening from 6.30 pm. Food hours will be extended to accommodate Sailing times.

The exception to this normal pattern of opening will be on the following days.

Tuesday 30th July - Bar and Kitchen Closed all day

Wednesday 31st July - No Lunch Service - Bar and Kitchen Open from 6pm.

Monday August 12th - No Lunch Service - Bar and Kitchen Open from 6pm.

Wednesday 14th August - Bar and Kitchen Closed all day

Thursday 15th August - No Lunch Service - Bar and Kitchen Open from 6pm.

Tuesday 27th August -  Bar and Kitchen Closed all day

Wednesday 28th August - No Lunch Service - Bar and Kitchen Open from 6pm.

Thursday 29 th August - No Lunch Service - Bar and Kitchen Open from 6pm.

Friday 30th August - No Lunch Service - Bar and Kitchen Open from 6pm.

Sunday 1st September - Lunch Service only.

The requirement to close for three days through the Summer and to limit Lunch Services on some days is to allow for the efficient rostering of Staff and to allow enough time for days off. These days have been chosen so as not to conflict with the Club's sailing calendar with all  the full day closures on days when no Sailing is planned at all.  Those days on which service is restricted to 6PM opening are on days with late afternoon or evening tides.

Details of the above programme will be posted on a week by week basis on the main Club door and there will be an aide memoire on the bar for members to take away giving more details including special events , BBQ's etc.

As always please book ahead if you are able to so we can manage staff levels effectively and give all members the best possible service.

The club's changing facilities will be open as per normal over the whole of the summer period with access available from 6.00am till 11.00pm via the entry code.

Thanks

BSSC Commodore & House Committee
