Message from the Chef  9/5/13

Dear Members,

Just a reminder that the club is now open for food on a Friday evening, Saturday lunch and evening and Sunday lunch, until high season when food will be served every day. 

Usual appearances will be: 

Char-grilled Red Poll beef burger with mature cheddar, onion relish and french fries (8oz, uncooked) £8.5

Beer battered cod with hand cut chips, mushy peas and chunky tartare £9

9oz char-grilled Sandringham Red Poll sirloin with hand cuts chips, baked mushroom and roast cherry tomatoes £9

Childrens meals are always available, plus a Sunday roast.

The above will usually be served throughout the weekend, lunch and dinner. Plus we will be serving fresh sandwiches/baguettes Saturday and Sunday lunch for you to eat in or takeaway (no need to be visiting the crab hut )

Also, featuring on the menu are various starters, special mains and desserts. All dishes are homemade, all dishes made using local, seasonal produce where possible. Simple fresh fish dishes are always available.

As, I hope you can understand, food is not available from Sunday evening until Friday evening, I have to limit the menu slightly, rather than wasting food. With this in mind I do think that we have, so far, produced varied and interesting menus. 

Also, with the previous in mind, and I know it has been stressed in the past, bookings are not a necessity but they are very helpful in gauging quantities of food and staff needed for the weekend. 

If there is a possibility that you think you may be coming in for food, please let us know. If, you then have to cancel for some reason, I won’t hold it against you. It just gives me some sort of idea of what to expect.

Clubhouse Opening Hours April 2013

Both the Bar and Kitchen will be open as follows:-

Friday Evening open 1800 hrs (food orders until @ 2130 hrs)

Saturday Lunchtime 1130 hrs to 1430 hrs,

Saturday Evening open 1800 hrs (food orders until @ 2130 hrs)

Sunday Lunchtime 1200 hrs to 1430 hrs,

Keith is offering a varied Menu, BSSC website will be updated each week with up to date menus.
